Belts need to be inspected and or
replaced at recommended OEM service intervals. When a belt begins
to show signs of wear, it needs to be replaced. Otherwise a failure
can result in the inconvenience and danger of being stranded. Some
belts only drive accessories like air conditioning. However, some
belts drive your vehicles water pump, alternator, and power steering
pump. Without these critical systems, your vehicle will not run
for long and could be seriously damaged or be unsafe to drive. Because
belts will typically show obvious signs of wear, a belts useful
service life is very predictable. Use the CADNA Belt Inspection
form as a guide to inspect your vehicle’s belts. [link to

Happen To You
Hoses need to be inspected and or
replaced at recommended OEM service intervals. When a hose begins
to show signs of failure, they need to be replaced. Otherwise a
failure can result in the inconvenience and danger of being stranded—
not to mention the possible, expensive engine damage that overheating
can cause. Because hoses will typically fail from the inside out,
a thorough and careful examination of all an engine’s hoses
needs to be performed by a qualified individual. The following are
good indicators of a hose that is close to failure:
- Bulging
at joints or connections
- Extremely soft —or— Easy to squeeze when cold
- Signs of crusting or leaking at joints or connections

Prevent the Extra Expense
and Inconvenience of a Tow
Timing belts must be replaced at
or before the recommended OEM service intervals. Timing belts fail
suddenly and without warning— and when they do, the car’s
engine will not run. To increase the misery, some engines are labeled
as “Interference” engines; meaning that if an owner
tries to start an engine after belt failure, the engine’s
valves will collide with the engine’s pistons creating serious
and costly engine damage. For that reason, be sure to consult your
vehicle owner’s manual for the proper replacement interval.
Some vehicles require replacement at 60K miles; while some of the
latest models require replacement at 100K miles. More troubling
is that some “bargain priced” aftermarket belts require
an expensive belt change on an annual basis! Belt changes are expensive,
because they are usually very time , requiring a professional technician.
For that reason, all of CADNA Automotive timing products are made
to exact OEM specifications.
